Community Involvement

Sioux Falls Community

Direct Digital Control is committed to community projects throughout the midwest. We like to give back to the community in meaningful ways that make a difference to the Sioux Falls area and beyond.

 

Current Projects

RASDak

RASDak, or Ride Across South Dakota, is a week long bicycle tour that takes riders through the smaller communities that make South Dakota unique. The course is all done by bike, and riders should expect miles ranging from 40-100 per day. Bike tourism in the state brings a positive influx of economic activity across the state.

 

Kasey is the President and Tour Director of this South Dakota bike tour.

DDC Supports the RASDak Bike Tour
ASHRAE

With over 57,000 members, ASHRAE “advances the arts and sciences of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration to serve humanity and promote a sustainable world.” It’s a diverse organization that supports our  industry of HVAC and controls contracting.

 

Kasey serves as Government Affairs Chairperson of the SD Chapter, and has previously served as President of the SD Chapter, and as Regional Vice Chair of Student Activities.

 

Sierra Club

The local chapter of the Sierra Club “works on environmental issues affecting our state, region and nation.” DDC is proud to protect this state’s landmarks such as the Big Sioux River and the land that makes up so much of South Dakota’s beauty.

 

Kasey is a board member of the SD Sierra Club.

 

Big Brothers Big Sisters

For over 100 years this mentoring program has paired kids with an adult volunteer mentor. As a monitored match, the organization works to “provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.”

 

Multiple employees of DDC are volunteers for Big Brothers Big Sisters.

 

Dakota Alliance Soccer

Youth soccer in Sioux Falls is constantly growing. Dakota Alliance Soccer offers a foundation for youth teams up to U14 to play the sport that fosters creativity, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

 

Mary supports Dakota Alliance Soccer as a volunteer coach.

DDC is committed to schools
Building Automation for Schools and Scholarships

 

DDC maintains a commitment to partnership with schools and to students furthering their education. In addition to servicing many area schools’ building automation systems, Kasey and his wife Karla support education through scholarships.

 

Kasey and Karla Abbott created scholarships at South Dakota State University, Dordt College, and Augustana University.
